Firstly, welcome to my first official review. This cafe has been a staple in Leamington for many years, and so seems fitting to be first up for review in the Leamington Whisperer. I will say, I have been to this establishment many times, and hope to give a non-bias and well-rounded review.
Cafe Royal is constantly in a state of buzzing. Anytime I have had the pleasure of visiting almost every single table has been full. It often seems like a graceful act of god that each time I actually am blessed with a seat. This may sound off-putting to many customers, but for me it is a testament to the excellent food and service.
During my last visit I ordered from the extremely reasonable breakfast menu. Surrendering to a Full-Breakfast, which as like my intentions for this review left me well-rounded. The menu on the whole all sounds great, from hearty jumbo-breakfasts to the more sophisticated Eggs Benedict (highly recommended). As well as this there is the usual selection of hot and cold drinks. I am an avid coffee drinker, but love how the staff take it that little bit further by adding a little chocolate to every saucer. It’s the little things…
The staff are very attentive, and took our drink and food orders promptly. Indeed we were in, seated, ordered and had started enjoying our food within 10 minutes. A quick service, but not compromising on any aspect of the experience. The furnishings and interior of the cafe are very welcoming and ‘cosy’. I personally enjoyed the added touches such as Mason jar salt and pepper shakers.
So overall, an excellent establishment. It gets the Leamington Whisperers seal of approval. It is the perfect location to catch-up with friends/family, enjoy a meal while reading a book, or indeed fuelling up before a big day of shopping on Leamington’s parade. A must visit!
